Zimbabwe Houseboat Safari

Marc and I were in Zimbabwe and lived there on a houseboat on the Sambesi river for one week. We took the ship's boat for safari trips, went fishing, visited a small fishing village on a small island and met a lot of very nice people and children.

This was a photo trip organised and paid by Lernidee

We spent our summer holidays in the south east of Sardinia / Italy in a nice holiday home provided by Tisenti.

Uluru and Kata Tjuta

Uluru and Kata Tjuta - A special, magical and very unique place in the world. They are a holy places for the Anangu tribe of Aboriginal people in Australia who have been in the area for around 10,000 years with lots of stories from the past. Uluru, which stands 348m above ground, is estimated to be around 600 million years old. The striking orange-red hue color of Uluru is due to surface oxidation of its iron content, otherwise the formation would look more grey. Kata Tjuṯa is made up of 36 imposing domed rock formations named doms. Mount Olga, the highest dome, is 546 m above the surrounding plain and 198 m higher than Uluru. In 2017, my sister Katrin was on a three months road trip in Australia. Her road trip started in Adelaide following the western coastline all the way up to Darwin where we have met. Together, we drove through the outback for three and a half weeks back to Adelaide. We have passed so many special places like the Litchfield and the Nitmiluk National Park, Bitter Springs, the famous Daly Waters, the Devils Marbles, Alice Springs, Kings Canyon, the Uluru and Kata Tjuta, Coober Pedy and Wiplena Pound. I have also visited Kangaroo Islands in the south. Of course, we saw lots of animals like kangaroos, coalas, snakes, spiders and very big ants! More informations in German on viel-unterwegs.de
