Uluru and Kata Tjuta - A special, magical and very unique place in the world. They are a holy places for the Anangu tribe of Aboriginal people in Australia who have been in the area for around 10,000 years with lots of stories from the past.
Uluru, which stands 348m above ground, is estimated to be around 600 million years old. The striking orange-red hue color of Uluru is due to surface oxidation of its iron content, otherwise the formation would look more grey.
Kata Tjuṯa is made up of 36 imposing domed rock formations named doms. Mount Olga, the highest dome, is 546 m above the surrounding plain and 198 m higher than Uluru.

In 2017, my sister Katrin was on a three months road trip in Australia. Her road trip started in Adelaide following the western coastline all the way up to Darwin where we have met.
Together, we drove through the outback for three and a half weeks back to Adelaide. We have passed so many special places like the Litchfield and the Nitmiluk National Park, Bitter Springs, the famous Daly Waters, the Devils Marbles, Alice Springs, Kings Canyon, the Uluru and Kata Tjuta, Coober Pedy and Wiplena Pound.
I have also visited Kangaroo Islands in the south. Of course, we saw lots of animals like kangaroos, coalas, snakes, spiders and very big ants!

In the last week of may 2016, Carina and I stayed at the north tip of the Lake Garda: Garda Trentino.
We took the via ferrata to the top of the Cima Capi, went canyoning through the canyon of the Rio Nero and we did a SUP and and a kayak trip on the Lake Garda.
We also went to the top of the mountain Monte Baldo by gondola, which is 2.218 m high. From the top, we enjoyed an awesome view on the lake with all the mountains in the back.

Andi, David, Fabi, Julia, Mick, Selime, Vera and I went to the Melloblocco Bouderling Festival 2016. But bevor we have reached our destination, we made a quick stop in Cimaganda - a small sweet bouldering spot right after the Splügenpass.
In Melloblocco, we enjoyed fantastic weather in the valley and topped lots of boulders with an awesome panorama.
